Screed 25: A NOTE ON MEDIA AND MESSAGE
Following Teko, an unknown young woman read a screed chiefly concerned with designs of "the enemy" to suppress SLA documents. Like Teko, this person struck a valedictory note, not quite saying goodby but clearly hinting that some profound change in the SLA operational system had begun to take place. The belief of the SLA screed.writers that perusal of their screeds would actually lead people to revolt was once more enunciated. This soldierly reference to the enemy killing its own kind applies to the hypothesis well known in race circles, that the worst of race-related crimes are organized as deliberate provocation by whites or by the police. The more local application, which had then been in circulation a full month envisaged the murder of Miss Hearst by the police or FBI with the approval of her own family

Remember that the SLA was born from the spirit of the people. The SLA is the PEOPLE'S ARMY, and we fight in their interests. The SLA will never compromise. The SLA will not allow the enemy jive [ie, lies] to deceive us into passively accepting genocide.
